The Event was founded by Monique Kufuor in 2018. Monique shared “I have always had a soft spot for intentionally buying from small Black-owned businesses and I would drive that extra mile to the bakers. They were everyday people with families that look just like me and I wanted to support their dreams”
As a mother Monique came to realise that it was not so easy to get products that represented her kids such as literature, clothing and also even hair products. Only for her to find that this was a common experience and many people were facing this. Monique realised that the products and services were out but were difficult to locate.
Everyone should be able to locate products and services they require.
Black business owners deserve to be in the spotlight and receive support and funding like any other business owner. Black-owned brands are unique, high-quality and the result of extremely hard work.
The Vision is for BOBExpo to be the place Business owners can Excel and gain the deserved Exposure through our Business Exhibitions.
The event is Free to attend, and what sets it apart from your usual business events is, it’s a family-friendlyevent, there will be a kids department with a full range of diverse products, from…books, Games.There will also be Fun activities such as book readings from exhibitors to face painting and so much more.

The food hall is always very popular on the day, giving attendees a full taste of foods that celebrate Black culture. Foods (Nigerian, Caribbean, Congolese, South African) and more) There will also be an array of desserts and drinks. So you will not go hungry!
